Never Have I Ever a teenage dramedy has yet to renew the third season, the show’s second season reaches Netflix’s top 10 the entertainment company didn’t give any hint about renewing another season.
But fans expect to air the third season in the mid or late year of 2022, they were curious about what will happen on season three. Season two was released after less than a month of the season one ending so fans will wait for a few months for season three to release, coronavirus pandemic restrictions were also the reason why the series season three is still not in work and the schedule for filming was also unsure.
Fans were also eager to witness the result of the character’s love life and what will happen to the Devi and Paxton relationship, what about Ben’s feelings? And Devi doubts their relationship when Paxton clearly said that he was embarrassed to be seen with her.
Ramakrishnan spoke about the relationship of the two “It’ll be cool to see Devi in s proper relationship because we technically never really have. It was a two-timing situation” she also added “But I think Paxton realizing what Devi means to him is nice” fans were looking forward of the season three because of this statement.
New characters will also be announced later in the third season that will greatly affect our main lead’s relationship and life and we will see more of Devi’s family. For season three it was likely to happen about the life of Devi, Paxton, Ben and Aneesa their complicated relationship was likely to excite the fans.
The story of Never Have I ever centers on Devi Vishwakuman, an Indian-American 15-year old girl from Los Angeles, she was paralyzed for 3 months as he cannot walk after her father passed away.
After an event happen in her freshmen year she wants a change in her life but it was not as easy as it is to tell. She dealt with many emotions and struggled to get along with her mother and has a problem in school as well. She handled different problems but impacted her life with her problem with Paxton and Ben her school crush.
Dealing with her feelings with Ben and Paxton as teenage girl fans can relate to this kind of experience as we were once teenage girls or currently facing this kind of problem, this is the reason why the series was popular especially to the youth.
Darren Barnet played as Paxton shared his thoughts about the ending of the second season “I thought it was such a picture-perfect moment, the way that it’s shot, the feeling and emotion in that scene, and also that song that is playing, it’s been on repeat for me.
This is Paxton and Devi, together as a couple, but still with enough ambiguity where you don’t know where that’s going to lead. She even says, ‘I wonder what that’s going to be like.'” He stated in one of his interviews. Jaren Lewison as Ben told in one of his interviews
“That scene gave me goosebumps because I realized Ben has such an inner conflict that has just surfaced that he’s now going to have to deal with”. Co-creator Mindy Kaling is also happy how the second season ended “I’ve watched enough romantic comedies that it’s not interesting unless it’s constantly shifting and changing.
Having the lead character be happy in love is not super interesting to me. It’s more suspenseful when we don’t know.”
